As
technology has moved on, it has now proved possible to host video
clips of flying boats on this web site, something that I'm very
pleased to provide as there is nothing like seeing the real thing on
the move! I have through the kind generosity of a number of
correspondents around the world, collected a number of these, and
each and every one is full of details that a picture sometimes
cannot provide; the people, the time, the magnificent sounds, the sheer beauty of a flying
boat being flown right in front of you..........
If you wish to submit a
flying boat video clip, or know where there is one that would add to this page please e-mail SEAWINGS
by clickinghere.
I would love to add to this list as time goes on.

Hellenic Air Force
4:18mins via Me31fm
On
23rd July 2007 Flight Lieutenant Dimitris Stoilidis, aged 34, and Flying
Officer Yiannis Hatzoudis, aged 27, were killed when their CL-415 came
down in the area of Styra, southern Evia, Greece. Stoilidis was a married
father of two twin boys, whilst Hatzoudis was single. Dimitris Stoilidis
made this video during his service with 112 Sqn and it shows all the very
real elements that go to make their work so rewarding, and so very
dangerous.
SEAWINGS
is proud to host this video as a lasting memorial to this crew and to
dedicate this Video Gallery in their honour. The job that all the many
Fire Bomber crews around the world do is, by it's very nature, fraught
with danger. They are the most dedicated
and professional of flying boat crews who, despite the risk's involved,
continue to serve where required to protect lives and property. R.I.P.
