| Once-in-a-while,
an event occurs right in front of you and this gallery is the result of
one such event - the fantastic around-the-world flight of the Dornier
Do-24ATT
Amphibian flown by Iren Dornier! During his stop-over at Biggin
Hill airfield, Kent, England SEAWINGS, together with one of my
best 'flying boat mates' and long-time correspondent to this site - Stuart
'Reggie' Martindale, was
granted exclusive access to this superb craft with a guided tour by Iren
Dornier himself! The purpose of this flight is to raise funds for UNICEF
(the United Nations Children's Fund) and to that end I am pleased to
provide a link to their web site by clicking their banner below. Also, you can follow this great adventure by clicking here
and reading the daily accounts written by the crew themselves on
Iren's own web site. My grateful thanks go to Iren and his crew for their
superb hospitality and I wish them well for the remaining journey. I have
added some superb images from another walk-round generously donated to SEAWINGS
to augment my own by my great friend and flying boat 'nut', Stuart
'Reggie' Martindale.

By the way, I am the
one grinning like a Cheshire cat in the last picture with Iren Dornier!
Thanks, Reggie!!
